Luis José Chávez, recién electo como vicepresidente de la Asociación Dominicana de Prensa Turística (ADOMPRETUR) participara en representación del país caribeño en la Asamblea General del Forum Iberoamericano de Periodistas de Turismo, que se efectuará del 22 al 24 de noviembre en la ciudad de Gramado, Brasil, en el marco del vigésimo cuarto Festival de Turismo de esa ciudad.
En esta actividad se darán cita otros dirigentes de asociaciones de periodistas de turismo de Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Panamá, Perú, Portugal y Uruguay.
A la misma ya se ha confirmado también la participación de Roque Baudean, presidente del consejo directivo del Fórum; Jorge Amonzabel, director del Fórum por Bolivia y presidente del Círculo de Periodistas de Turismo de Bolivia (CIPTURBOL); Francisco Leal, director alterno del Fórum por Chile y segundo vicepresidente de la Asociación de Periodistas de Turismo de Chile (APTUR); Astrid González, directora del Fórum por Colombia y presidenta de la Asociación Colombiana de Periodistas y Escritores de Turismo (ACOPET); Hernán G. Posada, director del Fórum por Panamá y presidente de la Asociación Panameña de Prensa Turística (APPTUR); Javier Arredondo, director alterno del Fórum por Perú y secretario de la Prensa de Turismo de Perú (PRENSATUR); María Shaw, secretaria general del Fórum y secretaria del Círculo de Periodistas de Turismo del Uruguay (CIPETUR), y Wilson B. Sierra, secretario de Relaciones Institucionales del Fórum y director del Mercosur de la Asociación de Periodistas de Turismo de Brasil (ABRAJET).
La participación de los comunicadores en el Festival de Turismo de Gramado se hizo posible como resultado de una carta intención, previa a un convenio de cooperación mutua, firmada en marzo de 2012 entre Marta Rossi, directora de Rossi e Zorzanello Ltda., y el Fórum Iberoamericano de Periodistas de Turismo, representado en por el presidente, Roque Baudean, y la secretaria general, María Shaw, en compañía del consejo directivo del organismo periodístico.
Entre los temas que se conocerán en la asamblea, se incluye la solicitud de ingreso de asociaciones de países de Iberoamérica que aspiran integrarse a la organización, actualmente formada por las asociaciones de periodistas de turismo de Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Panamá, Perú, Portugal, Uruguay y República Dominicana.
El Fórum Iberoamericano de Periodistas de Turismo tiene prevista una conferencia con un panel de prensa, que se celebrará el sábado 24 de noviembre, en la sala de prensa Joana Palhares, junto al Serra Park, sede del Festival de Turismo de Gramado.
El presidente del consejo directivo, Roque Baudean, abrirá el evento, para luego dar paso a los demás directores del Fórum. El tema central del panel será la capacitación y formación profesional, y será destinado a periodistas y personas vinculadas con los sectores del turismo, tanto en el ámbito público como privado.
En la segunda parte de la conferencia, Ronaldo García, secretario adjunto de Turismo de Porto Alegre (Brasil) y coordinador de la Unidad Temática de Turismo de la Red Mercociudades, y el arquitecto Álvaro Bertoni, subdirector de Turismo del Departamento de Maldonado (Uruguay) y coordinador adjunto de la Unidad Temática de Turismo de la Red Mercociudades, disertarán sobre el “Proyecto Capitales Gauchas – Rutas Tchê”. Como invitados figuran representantes de los municipios que forman la Red Mercociudades y otras empresas del sector turístico.
Se procederá a la firma del Convenio de Cooperación entre la Unidad Temática de Turismo y el Fórum Iberoamericano de Periodistas de Turismo, según fue convenido en la carta de intenciones firmada en marzo de 2012 en Porto Alegre.
En el mismo se contempla la necesidad de divulgación de noticias del sector de turismo y la promoción de los destinos turísticos de municipios pertenecientes a la Red Mercocuidades, a través de los vehículos, medios y portales de comunicación iberoamericanos, de asociaciones nacionales y de sus miembros, y del Fórum. Se propone asimismo un programa de capacitación y formación profesional destinado a periodistas y personas vinculadas con el sector del turismo en las ciudades de la UTT / Red Mercociudades.
